Acupuncture and Cosmetic Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a method that uses needles to stimulate points under the skin called acupuncture points (or acupressure points), to correct the flow of energy called “qi (che-e)”. These stimulations help to restore an individual’s health. Acupuncture help with the following symptoms: allergies, arthritis, tendonitis, frozen shoulder, low back pain, neck and shoulder pain, infertility issues, menopause symptoms, insomnia, stress/anxiety, GI disorders, endocrine disorders, headaches, vertigo, dermatological conditions, stroke rehabilitation, cancer support, immune system support, smoking cessation, and weight loss support.

Cosmetic acupuncture is a treatment that has been growing in popularity in America for many years. By targeting acupuncture points, nerves, and blood vessels mostly on the face and head, but also on key areas on the body, the acupuncture encourages and helps the flow of stagnant blood and Qi in your system to help your health and appearance. By also directly targeting areas on the face, neck, around the eyes, wrinkles, and other problem areas, acupuncture can help naturally lift and help your skin maintain a naturally youthful, healthy appearance.

Cupping

The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy in which dried plant materials called "moxa" are burned on or very near the surface of the skin. The intention is to warm and invigorate the flow of Qi in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences. Moxa is usually made from the dried leafy material of Chinese mugwort (Artemesia argyi or A.vlugaris). Moxibustion has been used for the treatment of pain, cancer, stroke, ulcerative colitis, constipation, and hypertension

Muscle Release Treatment w/Acupuncture

A Korean massage treatment that puts pressure on the bones to make the face line more refreshing and balanced, and the complexion of your face brighter. When your forehead is pulled back due to the stiffness in the neck, it is difficult to make your face line refreshing. This treatment helps to soften out that stiffness. It also helps to excrete the waste matter that is often found on the chin to give the individual a beautiful V shaped facial structure. In addition to the muscle treatment, the acupuncture treatment gives direct stimulation to the muscle and cells. This stimulation helps to make the skin cells more active, which helps the lymph and blood flow better. Better lymph and blood flow improve the sagging and wrinkles of the skin.

Facial Massage

This facial massage focuses on the mimetic muscles that, among other things, control your facial expressions, relieving any tension and helping them relax. The skin on your face is especially thin and easily damaged compared to the rest of your body, and so the amount of pressure and the technique through which it is applied is paramount to this method. By constantly adjusting the pressure applied throughout your face, and then applying moderate pressure along your neck, this massage alleviates the muscle tension throughout your face and neck. When the massage is applied with the correct technique, it can also help with relaxing your whole body. The massage also supports and encourages better blood circulation, which also increases your metabolism, helping to spread important nutrients to your skin for a healthy, youthful appearance.

Lymph Drainage

Lymph drainage is a type of massage that actively supports and encourages the circulation of lymph throughout the body, discharging the waste product from cells and any other harmful articles. By softly massaging the lymphatic trunk, the group of vessels that carry lymph, under the collarbone with both hands, lymphatic circulation is made smoother, leading to clearer, healthier skin. Lymph drainage is currently gaining popularity and acceptance world wide as it encourages lymph circulation throughout the body, having positive effects well beyond clear, healthier skin. If you are feeling fatigued, despite getting enough sleep, it may be because waste product has become stagnant in your body. Lymph drainage is an extremely soothing, relaxing massage, easing your sympathetic nervous system and bob encouraging the circulation of stagnant lymph.
